Our Mission
It is the goal and focus of the Wright Educational Group to move schools from a point where student achievement is largely below average to the place where students’ learning has been stabilized and the school climate is healthy and supportive enough to make the move from good to great .
What We Believe
- We believe that teachers and principals in urban schools face challenges that are unique and
warrant tailored responses - We believe that barriers exist which prevent many urban students from learning
- We believe that barriers exist which prevent many urban teachers from teaching
- We believe that barriers exist which prevent many urban principals from leading the charge of
improved student achievement. - We believe that before a school can move from “good to great”, there are critical,
foundational first steps that must be made to place the school in pole position to make that move - We classify the barriers that exist within each of these domains (student (family), teacher, principal/administrative)
as those we can control or impact and those we cannot. - The Wright Educational Group believes that with the proper support and intervention, we can remove the
“controllable” barriers and positively impact school climate, teacher effectiveness, principal efficacy and
overall student achievement
